PowerNetworking:
The Secret Hollywood Code
|
I am in the process of writing a book titled: PowerNetworking: The Secret Hollywood Code. Part of my development process has included taking this material on the road, much like a stand-up comedienne, to test the theories, tools and techniques, to see which stories most impact my audiences and what material they most respond to. Funnily enough, I got signed by a talent agent to actually develop a stand-up routine as a result of this class. |

Screenwriting Classes: $495/eight weeks
On-Line Classes: ideal for out-of-towners or screenwriters who’s schedules are already too crammed.
I host the classes in a password-protected chat room on TheIndustry.LA with folders where you can post and review homework assignments, script pages, and lectures. Personal e-mails and conference calls are encouraged and interactive editing can be demonstrated via Final Draft and Movie Magic Screenwriter. These classes can range from three to twelve people (usually 4 – 8).In-Person Classes: can be any time day or night – and any venue - that works for the group. 6 – 8 seems to be the ideal class size. I have been teaching in the conference room loft of Broadcast Center in Miracle Mile (right next to CBS Studios, The Grove and The Farmer’s Market) typically Tuesday – Thursday nights 7:15 – 9:30 PM and Thursday mornings 10:30 AM – 12:00 in the sunshine on the patio of a Starbucks in Sherman Oaks.
